Q9. Can I modify and use the copyrighted works of others (e.g. figures and tables)?

We must be careful not to infringe on the authors "Right to integrity" (one of Moral Rights of Authors), which is the right not to have their work modified contrary to their original intention. Furthermore, we must remember that modification of quotations is not permitted (see copyright Act 43 of Q11).
